Tennis triumph in Turkey

NSWIS wheelchair tennis players Adam Kellerman, Ben Weekes and Keegan Oh Chee have led Australia back to the big-time by claiming honours in the World Group II at the 2013 World Team Cup in Turkey.

The NSWIS trio began the tournament strongly with clean sweeps of Croatia and Sri Lanka, as all three athletes saw court time, to move into the semi-finals of the competition.

A 2-1 win over Belgium, with Kellerman winning his singles before teaming with Weekes to win the doubles, saw Australia progress to the final against Greece, where both athletes won their singles matches to secure the title.

The win sees Australia promoted into the World Group for the 2014 World Team Cup, having become only the second team after Japan to win the World Group and World Group II.
