NSWIS trio takes gold

The NSWIS rowing trio of Louis Snelson, Aaron Wright and Phillip Adams joined compatriots Alexander Hill and Stuart Sim to take gold in the junior men’s coxed four at the 2011 World Rowing Junior Championships in England.

The Australian crew powered hom to win world championship gold in a time of 6:21.79, defeating strong crews from New Zealand and Italy to secure the top tier on the medal dais.

The gold medal was complemented by an eighth place finish from the junior men’s quad, with the team including NSWIS athletes Jay Ditmarsch, Daniel Whitehead and Riley Elvery.
