NSWIS trio nominated

Three NSWIS athletes have been nominated for Sport Australia Hall of Fame award, ‘The Don’, an award given to an Australian athlete who has inspired the nation within the past 12 months.

Headlining the award is Paralympic gold medallist and NSWIS athlete Jacqueline Freney, who became Australia’s most successful Paralympian at a single Games with her outstanding eight gold medal haul in London.

Joining the other nominees, including Sally Pearson and Anna Meares, are NSWIS athletes Jessica Fox and Tom Slingsby, with the winner being announced on Thursday, October 11.
