Junior cycling team named

A 13-strong Australian team featuring two NSWIS athletes has been named for the 2016 Junior Track World Championships in Switzerland.

Rising stars Nicola Macdonald and Cameron Scott have both been included in the team and will be looking to add to their medals from last year. Scott came away with silver in the men’s team sprint and bronze in the men’s time trial, while Macdonald won silver in the women’s team pursuit silver.

The championships take place from 20-24 July in Aigle, Switzerland.

In other cycling news, Subaru NSWIS & MS rider Samuel Jenner has been included in the Jayco-AIS World Tour Academy, which races throughout Europe to unearth and develop Australia’s future one day and classics specialists.
